No War for Israel

We just came across a website called nowarforisrael.com. From the look of the site, we knew right away that this was the work of an active anti-Semite and a whois check verified our beliefs - the site is the work of well-known anti-Semite and white supremicist David Duke. The site calls prominent American Jews in government “Jewish Supremacist Warmongers” and surprisingly calls Rachael Corrie a “Martyr for Peace”. I don’t know how Rachael Corrie would feel about being called a martyr by David Duke, but this is further evidence of that the far right and far left continue to find common ground, a scary trend.

The Jew-hatred on this site is so obvious, it even takes Palestinian claims at face value, even if they are absolutely ridiculous. Two that caught our eyes - “Palestinian TV claims Jewish state intentionally targets children” and “Zionist Medicial Companies Experiment On Palestinian Detinees”, both of which are ludicrous claims.

Needless to say, the only ONE mention of terrorism on the whole first page (which is filled to the brim with “information”) is “Stranger Than Fiction: An Independent Investigation of 9-11 and the War on Terrorism”. Of course, we wouldn’t expect an apologist site for terrorism to talk about terrorism, would we?

Wow, what an enlightened comment walt. Makes me feel very comfortable about the future of Jews in North America. It’s a good thing we have Israel…

In period of war, all that comforts to me is to see the kotel: www.kotel.fr

I notice you don’t bother to even discuss, let alone attempt to refute, any of that site’s “ludicrous” claims. Of course, if you had your way, any attempt to discuss or examine those claims would see the participants fined or jailed much as is done to silence anyone in Europe who doesn’t bow and scrape before the accepted (if nonverifiable) claims regarding the Holocaust.

Assert and silence, but *never* debate.

Daniel, I see where you’re coming from, but I have to disagree. Sitting around and refuting these claims would be a ridiculous waste of time. David Duke is a well-known Jew-hater, so anything he says regarding Jews should be dismissed right off the bat.

Here are a number of things that I have a problem with:
    - Greater Israel - There has never been any action taken to suggest this. In fact, Israel has given away land, not taken it over. They’ve given up the Sinai peninsula and Gaza. If this “Greater Israel” accusation was true, they wouldn’t be giving back any land.
    - Rachel Corrie - Suggesting that a person that sheltered terrorists is a martyr is stupid at best and dangerous at worst.
    - Money - Yes, the US gives Israel $3 billion per year, but the stipulation is that Israel must use it to purchase weapons from American arms manufacturers. At least 90% goes directly back to America.

Other idiocy on the site - it repeats unsubstantiated claims from Palestinian “officials”, without proof. Case in point - there is a link to an article called “Palestinian TV claims Jewish state intentionally targets children”. The site hosting the article is supportive of Israel. The article, written in 2003, clearly describes how the claims are propaganda and were made along with other claims that are obviously not true.

I’m pretty sure I can refute any claims made on that site. Try me.

    Daniel,

Your perceptions of European censorship over the Holocaust are so out of line, I’ve got to ask: have you’ve ever been to Europe? Or rather, are your just parroting an opinion you’ve picked up from someone else?

People are free to do say what they like about the Holocaust; however, this freedom stands in direct conflict with people and nations whom know the reality of World War II. There are many people still alive in Europe who survived World War II and actually have direct experience. And virtually all nations were destroyed during this time. Obviously, if anyone tried to radically rewrite history in a way that was a complete lie (as most Holocaust deniers do), there would be a backlash against that for the simple reason that Europeans know better because they were there.

Imagine launching a campaign to suggest that only a few Rwandan Tutsis were killed, not the 800,000 executed in 100 days. Or saying the 200,000 Bosnian Muslims killed from 1992-5 was a myth generated to gain sympathy so they could form a separate state? Holocaust denial is exactly the same.

Furthermore, Holocaust denial has traditionally been a neo-Nazi tactic to white wash their past and restore their former glory—as such Germany, takes harsh measures against them because they do not want their violent ideology to spread. You’re clearly flat wrong. It’s not about scraping before Holocaust claims; it’s about stopping the propagation of hate ideologies and violence.

Also, don’t you think it’s a bit interesting that European nations, who were Axes or Ally, oppose Holocaust denial—and they actually lived through it and know the facts. While bigoted Middle Eastern nations, such as Iran, deny it, even though their situated in a different continent? And if anything, Iran hosted the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem during WW II who was indicted as a leading advocate of the final solution. Of course Iranian’s complain about not having fair debate about the Holocaust, but this is insane because their own people are not even free to express themselves politically, and further, it’s clearly part of their political agenda aimed at deligitimizing Israel.

For these reasons I disagree with you Daniel. Please respond.
